Workshop 1
How to engage men while empowering women:
Masculinity and Femininity cultures through an intercultural perspective (In English)
Masculinity and Femininity cultures through an intercultural perspective (In English)
This workshop will examine gender issues through different forms of interactive activities; such as movie clips, visuals, and poems. Each interactive activity will raise awareness of why we perceive the way “women” or “men” are. This will lead to an analysis on the impact of culture using Hofstede’s “Masculinity vs. Femininity” dimension. This dimension examines the tendency and preference in society for achievement/cooperation, assertiveness/modesty, etc. Based on the “Masculinity vs. Femininity” dimension analysis, participants will then reflect on themselves, their workplace and society. The workshop will conclude with a discussion on several approaches for women’s advancement in the workplace and the resistance to change.

Workshop 2
Be "mindful" - to awaken women's empowerment and
create authentic diversity and inclusion (In Japanese)
create authentic diversity and inclusion (In Japanese)
Society is slowly changing the environment for women. Women can now consider what they would like to achieve. The question for society then arises: What is the next step? No matter what view one has, in order to achieve change, people need to look to themselves to create a new paradigm. Introducing a “mindfulness” approach will assist this paradigm shift.
